1. Who we are and what these terms cover
SAMI-SM MCHJ, trading as SAMI, is a study abroad consulting agency in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. These terms cover SAMI's public websites, enquiries, consultations, and services ordered through SAMI. The Portal User Agreement adds the rules for signed-in accounts, including accounts used through the Telegram mini-app. Event, employment, agent, partner, and institution agreements may set out additional terms for those relationships.
You can contact us at info@sami.uz, on +998 71 208 3222, or at Niyozbek Passage 3, 6a, Tashkent 100000, Uzbekistan.
Browsing information or sending an enquiry does not order a paid service. Before registration, an application, or a paid order, we ask you to confirm the relevant terms and instructions. A Privacy Policy explains processing; it is not unlimited permission for every use of your information.
2. Services and the limits of our role
Depending on your selected service, SAMI can help with study destinations, university and program selection, application preparation, document coordination, admissions correspondence, scholarship research, visa preparation, and departure planning. Separately quoted services can include translations, notarisation, apostille coordination, insurance, accommodation assistance, and event participation.
Your accepted service description identifies the work included. A portal feature, shortlist, enquiry, quote request, or package name alone does not mean every service is included. SAMI is not the university, scholarship award body, consulate, immigration authority, insurer, or accommodation provider. Those organisations decide their own admissions, awards, visas, coverage, bookings, and eligibility.
We undertake to carry out agreed work with reasonable care and within agreed times. We cannot promise admission, a scholarship, a visa, employment, permanent residence, or a particular third-party decision. These limits do not excuse an error or failure in our own agreed work.
3. Your instructions and documents
Provide accurate information, genuine documents, and contact details you control. Tell us promptly about changes to your name, education, finances, immigration history, intended intake, contact details, or circumstances affecting your application. Review application details and requests for confirmation before agreeing to them.
Do not send another person's documents unless you have authority to do so. A parent, sponsor, employer, agent, or representative must act within their actual authority. Paying for a student does not automatically give access to the student's account or documents.
Submitting an application instructs SAMI to prepare, submit, and manage that application and communicate with the selected institution and necessary admissions or service partners. This is limited to that application and its agreed services. It does not authorise unrelated applications, new fees, accepting an offer, or an action requiring a separate signature or confirmation.
SAMI may ask for further evidence, corrected documents, or clarification. We may refuse unlawful instructions or suspend affected work while a material accuracy or authority concern is resolved. We will explain the next step where we can lawfully do so. Delay does not automatically forfeit money for unperformed work.
4. Applications, approval and deadlines
An application submitted to SAMI enters SAMI's workflow. This is different from submission to a university. Payment, document checks, your confirmations, and the portal's parental-approval step may still be outstanding. The portal currently requires that approval before the application can advance externally; an invitation or phone code is not itself proof of legal guardianship.
If the applicant is a minor, the necessary parent or legal guardian must provide the required permission and enter into any agreement the applicant cannot legally make alone. The portal's workflow does not replace these legal requirements.
Institution deadlines and available intakes can change. Dates shown in the catalogue are planning information unless specifically confirmed for your application. We will explain the documents and instructions we need and the deadlines for our work. Tell us immediately if a portal error or other problem could affect a deadline; do not assume that saving a draft completes submission.
5. Prices, packages and payment
Before you accept a paid service, the order or agreement should identify the service, price and currency, payment stages, included application allowance where relevant, payee, applicable taxes or charges, and any third-party costs. Ask us to correct an unclear quote before paying. Additional work or a changed scope requires a further agreed price.
SAMI's application-processing fee and a university's application fee are separate. An exemption or package entitlement applies only where it is shown for you. There is no general promise that every first application is free. The price and entitlement accepted for your order are not replaced retrospectively by later catalogue or package changes.
Pay only through the payment instructions shown on a verified SAMI order or invoice. A quote is not a receipt. An uploaded payment screenshot does not establish settlement; the payment must be verified. Currency conversions and external bank charges should be checked before payment. Notify us promptly about a duplicate charge or payment allocated to the wrong order.
An admissions or referral relationship may result in SAMI receiving a commission from an institution or partner. Such arrangements do not guarantee an outcome or mean that every institution is represented. Ask about the relevant relationship when choosing your route. A student's fee is the fee disclosed in their own accepted order.
6. Cancellation, changes and refunds
You may ask to cancel or change a service using the portal's available request tools or by contacting us. Deleting an account, withdrawing an application, and cancelling a paid service are separate actions; tell us which work should stop and identify the order.
For SAMI's own services, we refund unperformed work. Deductions are limited to clearly disclosed, documented work actually performed and authorised costs that genuinely cannot be recovered. We do not deduct the same work or cost twice. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for the calculation, third-party payments, and review process.
Nothing in these documents removes remedies available under mandatory consumer law, including where SAMI fails to perform agreed services properly. A non-refundable label cannot override those rights.
7. Events and other providers
A fair or event registration confirms only the participation described for that event. Capacity, admission criteria, venue rules, programme changes, and any ticket conditions are shown separately. Applying to exhibit does not confirm an institution's place until accepted. Attendance certificates and event QR passes do not certify academic qualifications, admission, or immigration status.
If an event is cancelled or materially changed, the relevant event terms and refund policy apply to payments for it. We will communicate changes using the available registration contact details. Third-party travel or accommodation bookings have their own terms; this does not remove SAMI's responsibility for services it contracted to provide.
8. Information, publicity and intellectual property
The Privacy Policy explains account, application, payment, event, communication and technical data. The Cookie Policy explains necessary browser storage. Optional website and portal usage analytics are disabled.
Where publication permission is expressly shown and validly given during registration, it covers: use of your name, profile photograph, accurate study outcome or student story, and testimonial you provide for public use on SAMI's websites, social channels and promotional or event materials. This does not authorise publication of passports, application files, private messages, payment records or other confidential documents. The Privacy Policy explains scope, guardian permission, and withdrawal. Existing users are not treated as having accepted this new permission merely because their account already exists.
You retain rights in your own materials. SAMI receives only the permissions needed for the service or the stated public use. The Copyright & Intellectual Property notice explains permitted use of website content and how to report infringement.
9. Problems, responsibility and legal rights
Contact us promptly if something is wrong so we can investigate and reduce avoidable harm. Keep copies of important submissions, receipts and correspondence. External delays, outages or decisions can affect the service; we will explain what can be done and address any part that remains our responsibility.
These terms do not impose a blanket exclusion of liability, an automatic indemnity for all third-party claims, or a requirement to waive a complaint. Responsibility and any recoverable loss are determined under the applicable contract and law. The Disclaimer explains the limits of general information without withdrawing our service obligations.
Use the Complaints Procedure for a service, billing or conduct complaint. You may also approach the appropriate authority or competent court without completing an internal process first.
10. Which terms apply and how changes work
Mandatory law takes priority. Your accepted service agreement and order define the specific scope and price; these terms apply to matters they do not address. Provider terms govern that provider's service, not SAMI's separate obligations. An internal policy or later website edit cannot silently reduce an agreed entitlement.
These terms are governed by the laws of Uzbekistan, without removing mandatory protections or court rights that apply to you elsewhere. No exclusive court venue or compulsory arbitration is imposed by this document.
We will identify a revised version and its effective date when publishing a material change, explain the change, and obtain a new acceptance when required. Earlier agreements and recorded instructions remain relevant to earlier transactions. Translations should convey the same meaning; contact us about a discrepancy before accepting. Applicable language requirements and the terms actually agreed determine the legal position.
